My future

I decided to become a Veterinarian. Ever since I was little I loved playing with animals, I thought that they were cute. My brother and mom would always tease me because I thought that all animals were cute, such as a skunk and they would also ask me what was wrong with me because they thought that skunks were ugly and nasty. But I thought that all animals were cute in their own kind of way, no matter what they were.

Later in life my family soon adopted two dogs, by the names of Bear and Max. Max was a miniature schnauzer and Bear was a black lab. Both of these dogs were great pets and I loved to play with them. Having these dogs for years made my love grow even deeper for animals. Soon I made up my mind that being a veterinarian was what I really wanted to do and I was going to do whatever I had to do to become one. My mother also loves animals but she likes dogs the most. I don’t think that there is anyone who loves animals more than I do, or at least I haven’t met anyone yet that does.

People think of veterinarians as people who love animals, and they are right because to be a vet, you have to really love animals and want to help them. I think that if someone doesn’t love their job and what they do, then the job is definitely not for them and they should try and find something to better suit them. The ones who don’t care for animals won’t do well in the field because they would dread coming to work every day and the animals most definitely won’t get the care that they would need.

Since I love animals so much I recently took in a stray cat that had been making a home in my front yard. I decided to keep her. She recently had a liter of 3, and the kittens are all adorable. Sometimes I wish that I could just help every animal in the world and bring them food and shelter, but then again that would be impossible. The only possible thing I could do to fulfill my wish would be becoming a vet so that I could at least help as many animals as possible.

One movie that I love and also motivated me was Dr. Doolittle. Dr. Doolittle was a great veterinarian movie, it was a comedy that stared Eddie Murphy and in the movie he had to save a circus bears life and teach him to service in the wild. It was very interesting, and it was nice to see how happy the bear was at the end of the film.

Right now I am taking health and science classes to work towards my goal of the 4 years of college that I will need to become a vet. I also will have another 4 years of medical school that I will need to attend. I’m very determined and motivated. I know that I can achieve my foal with a bit of hard work and an optimistic view. My father always told me that I could be anything that I wanted to be, and I will always remember those words.
