11/2/10

Been doing so much for this class but it seems like its never enough, hopefully i can try harder and pull through to pass this class. So far i have been blogging and working hard on my past assignments, i think i need to do some more interacting on blog comments and in class discussion.

Pop Up Part 2

Well, I chose this article because I found it interesting.

I figured that I wanted to add a little humor, and joking around to my comments, so that's the route I chose.

For the first comment I put "wow I didnt know they did ..wonder how?" And I said this because usually you dont see wasps or turtle "playing around". It was something new to me!

The second comment I said that I agree everyone needs a social life, animals, humans, anything living. And play time is part of that social life.

The third comment i added a little humor to, the article said. U studied the behavior of baby and juvenile reptiles for many years and never saw anythign that i thought was play. And I added "Maybe their eyes didnt open yet." Because they are young and probably couldent see yet.

The forth comment I said that the link didnt work because the article had a "link" that said "click here" and that sure didnt work.

The fifth comment me saying that the title of a book in the article sounded pretty interesting.

The sixth comment i added a little more humor, I read that part in the article and the sentence sounded really choppy and hard to understand unless you went through, slowed down and read it a couple more times, I put "This statement should have been dumbed down for some people".

The seventh comment was just another funny comment, I said whats not to understand about humans.

The eighth comment was another funny one, the article compared children to rats in a way, & I said "children are being compared to rats now!?"

The ninth comment was just a weird questioning comment, the article said Human children...and I stated " I thought that everyone was human...what other types of children are there?!"

The tenth comment was a funny one also, the article stated Play is an integral part of life and ma make a life worth living..and I said " yes its that serius." I said that because they made it seem like it was such a serius thing.

The last comment was sort of questioning who wrote this article and whether or not all of the information was valid. The person who wrote it was Whitney Holmes..University of Tennessee at Knoxville. And I said "Random woman from the University of Tennessee..hmm.."

Twitter Evaluation

Well, so far my twitter experience has been pretty qood. At first when I was introduced to the whole twitter thing, i was unsure about it and scared because i tried it once before and i didnt really know how to work it, but now its going great because i have been tweeting like im supposed to and now its all clear to me. Its actually pretty fun. I really enjoy facebook much better thought but im getting used to twitter. I also think that its a great program to use for if anyone has any questions about anything, you can just post on there and most of the time your questions would be awsered immediately.

My Future Dreams

Ever since I was a little kid, I’ve always knew what I wanted to do in the future. After many years of people asking me over and over what do I want to be when I grow up, and the answer was always the same. I wanted to become a Veterinarian. Ever since I was little I loved playing with animals, I thought that they were cute. My brother and mom would always tease me because I thought that all animals were cute, such as a skunk and they would also ask me what was wrong with me because they thought that skunks were ugly and nasty. But I thought that all animals were cute in their own kind of way, no matter what they were.

Later in life, my family soon adopted two dogs by the names of Bear and Max. Max was a miniature schnauzer and Bear was a black lab. Both of these dogs were great pets and I loved to play with them and take care of them. Having these dogs for years made my love grow even deeper for animals. Soon I made up my mind that being a Veterinarian was what I really wanted to do and I was going to do whatever I had to do to become one. My mother also loves animals but she likes dogs the most. I don’t think that there is anyone who loves animals more than I do, or at least I haven’t met anyone yet that does.

People think of Veterinarians as people who love animals, and they are right because to be a vet, you have to really love animals and want to help them. I think that if someone doesn’t love their job and what they do, then the job is definitely not for them and they should try and find something to better suit them. The ones who don’t care for animals won’t do well in the field because they would dread coming to work every day and the animals most definitely won’t get the care that they would need.

Since I love animals so much, I recently took in a stray cat that had been making a home in my front yard. I decided to keep her. She recently had a liter of 3, and the kittens are all adorable. Sometimes I wish that I could just help every animal in the world and bring them food and shelter, but then again that would be absolutely impossible. The only possible thing I could do to fulfill my wish would be becoming a veterinarian so that I could at least help as many animals as I can.

One movie that I love and also motivated me, was Dr. Doolittle. Dr. Doolittle was a great veterinarian movie; it was a comedy that stared Eddie Murphy. In the movie he had to save a circus bears life and teach him to survive in the wild. It was very interesting, and it was nice to see how happy the bear was at the end of the film. The movie gave me a little insight on what Veterinarians really have to do and how its done.

Right now I am taking health and science classes, to work towards my goal of the 4 years of college that I will need to become a vet. I also will have another 4 years of medical school that I will need to attend. I’m very determined and motivated. I know that I can achieve my goal with a bit of hard work and an optimistic view. My father always told me that I could be anything that I wanted to be, and those words will travel with me for the rest of my life.

Blog ENG 112

I have a lot of work to do this week. I had a busy weekend, and did a lot of homework. But one thing i did forget was my flashdrive with my rough draft on it for ENG 112. Kinda upset about that, hopefully i can hurry and upload my rough draft as soon as i get home. Im happy that my PK presentation is over. Now workk later this week, and more highschool homework and presentations do very soon, but i know i will be able to accomplish all of this before the week is over, with hard work, and dedication!

BLOG ENG 112

Well, at first I was very confused and scared about this PK presentation ,what I should include, things I should talk about and I was just nervous. Now that I got a better understanding and a better idea of what Shirmer wants from us, I’m very confident in my presentation today and I have no worries. The previous presentations gave me a better feel and understanding of what I need to do. I also liked the previous presentations and thought everyone did a wonderful job.
